Promotion of technical history in an innovative way

A kick-off meeting of partners of the project „Discover your industrial past” was held on August 27, 2014 in the Castle Cieszyn. The projectʾs aim is to raise awareness of the industrial heritage located in the area of  European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation TRITIA: Silesia Voivodeship, Opole Voivodeship, Moravian-Silesian Region, and Žilina Self – governing Region. The project partners are: European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation TRITIA (project leader), the Silesian Tourist Organisation, The Regional Development Agency Ostrava, Opole Silesia Regional Tourist Organisation and Žilina Regional Tourism Organisation.

Within the project running from August 2014 to June 2015 several activities are planned: to design an educational desk game in Polish, Czech and Slovak, concerning the industrial heritage of the listed regions, competitions for youth of the three neighboring countries associated with the educational game, an international conference and an exhibition. The project focuses on educational activities that bring the people from Poland, The Czech Republic and from Slovakia knowledge of the industrial heritage of the neighboring countries, which is nowadays one of the most important branches of tourism at the Polish-Czech-Slovak border area.

The "Discover your industrial past" project is co-financed by the International Visegrad Fund in the category of cross-border cooperation.
